SUMMARY:Annual Meeting & Business Expo
DESCRIPTION:The day will kick off with the Business Expo beginning at 10:00 a.m. and will feature businesses and non-profits from throughout the region. Numerous representatives will be on-hand to answer questions about their organizations\, with many offering special giveaways and prizes to participants. The expo is the largest annual gathering of Van Buren and Crawford County business and community leaders.\n\n \n\nThe annual meeting program will get underway at 11:30 a.m. which will include lunch\, a special update from the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce\, the presentation of the fourth annual "Business of the Year" Awards to deserving members\, and the presentation of the 2021 Iverson Riggs Citizen of the Year. \n\n\n\n\n\nTo purchase tickets:\n\n\n \n Click on the green "Register" button in the upper right hand corner below the Chamber logo. After you complete your registration\, a receipt will be emailed to you with your tickets. Each ticket will have a QR code which will be scanned when you arrive at the event. Honorees will be selected in each one of the three categories (Large\, Small\, & Start-up Business OR Non-Profit)\, based on the following criteria:\n\n Emphasizes the importance of volunteerism and service among employees.\n\n Encourages and allows opportunities for employees to give back through involvement with the Chamber\, schools\, and area non-profit organizations.\n\n Promotes economic growth of the Van Buren area business community.\n\n Invests in the people\, businesses and future of the region.\n\n Includes all Chamber member businesses\, churches\, & non-profits.\n\nTo nominate a business\, or to nominate your own business\, click here to access the fillable nomination form and submit to julie@vanburenchamber.org. Deadline for submissions is June 18th\, 2021.\n\n \n\nIverson Riggs Citizen of the Year \nThis award is given to an individual in honor of the outstanding accomplishments\, and in recognition of individual contributions and unselfish service to the community of Van Buren. The recipient must have been a local resident for 10 years or more and have contributed to the City of Van Buren something of value in the field of leadership and/or education that has proved of value and will continue to prove of value to the community in the future.\n\nFor full details on eligibility\, past recipients and the nomination form\, click here. The deadline for nomination submittal is June 25\, 2021.
