Join the Center For Art & Education for our opening reception of Urban/Natural Exhibition. In the Main Gallery, Peter Cullum’s exhibition titled Ecotones, portrays landscapes through the techniques of portraiture. Utilizing layered and non-blended application, he creates an illusion of space and form in-rooted tree trunks. Peter Cullum is an Assistant Professor of Studio Art at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. He received his AA from Westark Community College, BA from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, and his MFA from the University of Colorado Boulder. In the Studio Gallery, is J.L. Medeiros' series Zero Hour//Moment of Truth which portrays ‘the flow state’ or temporal existence in which decaying buildings are suspended in moments of geometric composition, placing an emphasis on their forgotten fragments.
