  • Learning and Development

    It’s easy to get started! In this series of 8 classes, our experienced potters take you through the entire process of learning how to make a piece of pottery, from throwing it on a wheel, designing, firing, and glazing. Learn a variety of techniques and processes such as classic throwing style, trimming process, glazing and electric kiln firing basics. A new workshop starts each month.

    Come and draw from a live model in various mediums, with the model provided in person, as well as appropriate lighting, seating and easels. Gesture drawings will begin the session, leading into extended poses for more elaborate works. Bring your drawing materials. FREE for ages 18 and up and registration required.

    Each class offers a new topic. Select the specific topics you are interested in pursuing for your goals, or opt to enroll in all four classes for a comprehensive learning experience. Ages 14+

    No painting skills needed, just follow our guided instructor and you’ll create your own work of art to take home! We provide art supplies and complimentary charcuterie and refreshments. Feel free to BYOB.

    Insights on the many aspects one should consider when beginning a journal: book type, formatting, voice, style, and design. We’ll discuss the benefits and “pitfalls” of keeping a daily life-log and gain inspiration from historical and contemporary Journalism. By the end of the course, you will have an informed journaling plan that has the potential to open doors in ways never imagined.

    This two-day advanced workshop led by Charles Peer will show how to create vibrant pastel paintings through idea development, composition, techniques, and color choices. Each day features discussions, demos, practice exercises, painting time with Charles, and group critiques.

    Please join us in the galleries for an exclusive evening with acclaimed artist Charles Peer. Witness Peer's demonstration of creating a pastel painting from beginning to end and gain valuable insights into his techniques. The evening will conclude with a Q&A session, providing a rare chance to interact with the artist and fellow community members. Selected artwork by Peer will be on display for purchase.
