Or promote your business utilizing the Chamber website, which received more than 145,000 visits in 2021. And don't forget the long running favorites; the Annual Meeting & Business Expo, the Golf Classic, Business After Hours, and the Arkansas Scholars Award Ceremony.

Press Release from Crawford County Emergency Management
    May 24, 2019

The National Weather Service is predicting that the Arkansas River will crest at 41 feet by late Sunday evening, reaching above the previous historic level of 38.1 feet.

In Van Buren and Crawford County there are approximately 26 miles of levee protection, between Mt. Vista and Mays Branch near Clear Creek park.

Our certified levees will be tested during this historic event. With information provided by the Army Corp of Engineers, we are expecting to stay approximately 4 feet below the top of the levee. We ask that you stay aware of the situation and that you avoid the levees and rising waters at all times. City and county officials will be continuously monitoring the levees and water levels.

The Crawford County Emergency Management team is continuing to meet with the city, county and state officials along the Arkansas River. These leaders will continue to participate in meetings and conference calls with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management to keep the public informed as more information is passed along.

The Van Buren Chamber of Commerce will publish any new information on our social media channels as it becomes available.
