The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith announced today a 6.8 percent spike in first-year entering students, bringing the total to 889 this year, up from 832 in the 2022-23 academic year. A Ribbon Cutting was held on September 6, 2023 to celebrate the public restrooms in Blanche Moore Park in Downtown Van Buren that were renovated by the Van Buren Rotary Club. The Van Buren Rotary Club provided a much needed update to these restrooms with fresh paint, new toilet seats, and adding baby changing stations in both the men's and women's bathrooms. A Member Workshop was held at the Van Buren Police Department on August 31, 2023 on Social Media Marketing. Attendees learned about the do's and don'ts of social media for businesses, how to utilize free social media tools, and how to create paid advertisements on social media. Following the presentation was a great questions and answers session, and sharing of best practices between those in attendance.
