Phyllis Thompson has been hired as the Director of Membership for the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce.
A graduate of Van Buren High School, Phyllis is a long-time resident of Van Buren. Prior to joining the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce, Phyllis worked in the retail industry in administration and management roles. She also has extensive experience in customer service and purchasing, having worked several years in the Oil Industry and the Food Processing business.
"We believe Phyllis is perfect for this new position at the Chamber." stated Julie Murray, President and CEO of the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce. "As a native of Van Buren, she has a strong affection and passion for our community and is eager to help our businesses thrive and prosper. Thompson is an active member of Robert Jack VFW Post 1322 Auxiliary and previously served as Secretary. She and her husband David are members of Van Buren First Assembly of God.
Thompson and her husband together have 2 Children and 1 grandchild.
