The Van Buren Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, in conjunction with the Van Buren School District, will honor more than 150 of Van Buren High School’s most exceptional students at its 2020 Arkansas Scholars Awards Ceremony on April 27.
Arkansas Scholars is a prestigious distinction given only to graduates who have achieved a 95% or better attendance record in their four years of high school. The students must also have a "C" or higher average and have completed all the required courses to graduate in four years. Each scholar is presented with a certificate at the ceremony and awarded a medallion at graduation.
The ceremony will take place at the Van Buren Fine Arts Center and will include a light reception and a special program honoring the graduates. As a Chamber member, you have the distinct opportunity to show your support of local education by serving as a sponsor of this wonderful event! Nearly 500 guests are expected to be in attendance including students, parents, district educators, and community leaders.
This event is a prime occasion to showcase your business or organization. Your sponsorship dollars are an investment in our city’s future, helping to foster the development of good citizens, a strong workforce, and independent, competent adults in our community through the Arkansas Scholars initiative. Sponsorship opportunities are now available, beginning at the $300 level. Each tier varies in price and marketing benefits. Sponsorship dollars help underwrite the cost of the student medals and the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce's annual senior scholarship.
