Shopping

The city proudly boasts a diverse mix of big box retailers and small establishments, giving residents plenty of purchasing options. Main Street has long-served as a commercial center for the city and that tradition continues today. Lined with iconic buildings constructed more than a century ago, downtown lends a distinctive charm to any visit, making for a true one-of-a-kind shopping experience. The area is filled with boutiques, book stores, and shops filled with antiques and one-of-a-kind home décor. Van Buren’s Farmer’s Market is also housed in the Freedom Park Pavilions, offering locally-grown produce, farm fresh eggs, organic meat, homemade baked goods, specialty jams, crafts, and more.

Many of these mobile options have pop-up seating located nearby, while others make grabbing something to take home or to work quick and easy. Construction is currently underway on a food truck park, which will give trucks a congregate space to station their business and give customers a wide-array of options in one convenient location.
