Paycheck Protection Program Update: What’s Next for Business Owners?
More than $3 billion in funding for small businesses has been funneled into Arkansas since the inception of the Paycheck Protection Program in March. As many business owners are moving into the forgiveness application phase, Congress and the White House have been negotiating a new relief package to simplify loan forgiveness and create a new round of PPP loans. Join Landmark CPA Member Katie Lejong as she discusses the latest updates on the PPP program, the forgiveness application process, and additional measures being considered by Congress.

Since March, Katie Lejong has been leading a task force of CPAs that has been immersed in the CARES Act, PPP loans, and all things COVID-19 related that affect small business owners. She’s helped numerous clients and business owners navigate the loan process, evaluate their payroll and cash flow, and stay stable during the nation’s most tumultuous time since the Great Depression. She also did a few tax returns, too.
Katie has more than 20 years’ experience assisting Landmark’s family-owned and privately-held businesses navigate the ever-changing tax and regulatory environments. She advises clients in all areas of business operations including tax-savings strategies, profitability, bookkeeping and payroll, as well as exit strategies and succession planning. In addition to her client base, Katie is the firm’s tax director, oversees the firm’s marketing and practice development, and serves on Landmark’s strategy team.
