Follow the Yellow Brick Road
to Save Lives This Fall

September 4, 2025 ─ This fall, your blood donation could be the most powerful spell of all. Our Blood Institute invites you to follow the yellow brick road to the following blood drives:

• CARTI; Tuesday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the bloodmobile.
• Phil Wright Autoplex; Wednesday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the bloodmobile.

All successful donors will receive:

• A limited-edition, glow-in-the-dark T-shirt inspired by Wicked
• One free ticket to the Little Rock Zoo
• The chance to help save up to three lives with just one donation

“Your donation has the power to change fates — just like magic,” said Dr. John Armitage, president and CEO of Our Blood Institute. “This campaign is a playful nod to a beloved story, but the mission behind it is serious: ensuring local patients have the blood they need, when they need it.”

Anyone who is healthy and 16 years old* or older can give blood. Donation typically takes only about an hour, and one donation saves up to three lives. Appointments to donate can be made online at obi.org or by calling 877-340-8777. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Our Blood Institute is the sixth-largest independent blood center in the nation, with 17 donor centers across Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas, including five centers in Arkansas. OBI provides blood products for patients in more than 40 Arkansas hospitals, medical facilities and air ambulances.
