    New network building events in 2022 include the Battle of the Business Bowling Tournament and the Local Lunch for restaurants.  BE PRO BE PROUD and Connecting Educators in Industry are focused on building the workforce pipeline for our community.  Also new this year are two annual program sponsorships, the Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Chamber Ambassadors, both focused on advocacy for a strong, business friendly climate in our community, county, and state. 

    Or promote your business utilizing the Chamber website, which received more than 145,000 visits in 2021. And don't forget the long running favorites; the Annual Meeting & Business Expo, the Golf Classic, Business After Hours, and the Arkansas Scholars Award Ceremony.

     

     

     

  • Fun on the Farm with Local Students

    Crawford County Extension Office along with several partners and volunteers, recently completed the annual Fun on the Farm Event.  Over 560 students from 8 schools participated in the event held at Arnolds Family Farm.
     

    Students rotated through 9 different stations focusing on different areas of the farm. They learned about poultry, dairy, germination, sheep & goats, beef, bees, forestry, farm equipment and strawberries.

    A post event survey was given to teachers. One teacher said, “Every year my students have a great time and learn a lot at Fun on The Farm.”

    “We love having this event for students. It is great to see them on the farm and asking questions while learning about things we find valuable,” said Tristin Bolton, County Extension Agent.

    This program has been going for over 10 years in Crawford County and we look forward to many more.
